Alpha broke the server again

That's right boys and girls! Alpha broke the server for a SECOND time on Sunday. Luckily it was only down for 11 hours, as the technical staff working the datacentre decided they would start up the right server this time.

After our server experienced an error and shut down, we were not able to get it started back up for more than a week. After contacting the datacentre several times, and having many issues, we were finally able to get everything resolved, and got our server back online. All of our game servers, teamspeak, and website are now available again! Add new comment

A few members have been requesting that we set up a S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl server, so we have spent the last three days researching how to do it, uploading the necessary files to the server, and setting the thing up. Unfortunately, every S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: SoC server currently running is running the leaked beta 1.0006 patch, so STEAM owners cannot connect to them. We will therefore be running our server on the 1.0005 patch. This will be a 24/7 server (barring any problems with the server, or with the datacentre). If you have any map requests, or gametype requests, please post on the forums. At the moment the server is running Deathmatch on Agroprom Factory map, 20 minutes, or 50 kills. We have enabled a setting that saves your current stats if you disconnect and reconnect to the server. However, when the map changes, or a new game starts, all the stats on the server are reset. |

We finished moving things around on the forums this weekend. Now we are focusing on altering the color scheme to look more like this homepage. Currently we have run into an unexpected issue, so they may look a little weird for a few days. Sorry about that. Should be fixed by late Wednesday, or Thursday. Over this weekend we are going to be making some major structural and graphical changes the forums.
We will be removing much of the clutter that we have, in favour of more posts in few forums. This will try to condense everything and make it easier to navigate for your information. Remember: The Search function still works. ;)
Some Graphical Changes to bring the forums up to speed on our websites latest round of themes will be made. The same basic structure will stay, we are just moving colors around, and changing some logos. |
